Two graham crackers, a roasted marshmallow, and a melted piece of chocolate.
The s’more is so simple, and yet, so satisfying.
You’d be hard pressed to find someone who doesn’t have a fondness for this delightful childhood treat. Whether you made yours by the campfire or over the stove at home, everyone has at least one special memory making s’mores with friends and family.
Who invented s’mores?
No one knows for sure. Legend has it that the Campfire Girls created s’mores back in the 1920s, but the Girl Scouts brought them into the mainstream when they published the first official recipe in their 1927 Girl Scout Handbook.
Of course, we all know the origin of the name – when you have a s’more, you want some more!
When is National S’Mores Day?
National S’Mores Day is celebrated on August 10th. Late summer is the perfect time to enjoy this delicious treat.
This year National S’Mores Day is on a Thursday! Kick your weekend off right with a s’more.
Celebrate with S’Mores chocolate bark!
It wouldn’t be right to not indulge in a s’more on National S’Mores Day, would it? Of course not!
Any of Delysia Chocolatier’s chocolate bark and handmade marshmallows will go well sandwiched between two graham crackers, but Chef Nicole has crafted a special concoction to honor the day: Delysia s’mores chocolate bark!
Why wrap chocolate in graham crackers, when you can do it the other way around? Our s’mores chocolate bark offers all the taste of a s’more without any of the gooey mess. Delysia’s s’mores chocolate bark blends artisan milk chocolate, handmade marshmallows, and crunchy graham cracker pieces into each and every bite.
No one’s stopping you from enjoying the best of both worlds, either. While Delysia’s chocolate bark packs a campfire punch all its own, you can go wild and still combine it with a roasted marshmallow and graham crackers!
At Delysia Chocolatier, we love celebrating chocolate-themed holidays, and we know you do, too. If one day doesn’t feel like enough to honor the wonderful s’more, don’t worry. National Marshmallow Toasting Day is right around the corner on August 30th, so you can enjoy a s’more again then, too!
How do you like to enjoy your s’mores? Let us know in the comments!
