Notes from the chocolatier: Celebrate Easter together

Spring is a time of rejuvenation, offering an opportunity to emerge from the frigid Winter season refreshed, renewed, and ready to tackle the year ahead. Being surrounded by the beauty that stems from Spring inspires us to open our hearts to the wonderful abundance of things to come. Personally, I am filled with happiness and feel inspired to create new and innovative treats during this beautiful season. I am ready to jump at any opportunity to shine and share my creations with my local Austin family.

Now, the Easter Bunny is knocking at our door. While children everywhere are rushing to put together the perfect Easter basket full of candies (including chocolate, of course) and goodies, I am reminded of my two sons. Experiencing yet another season that boasts growth and abundance serves as a reminder to stay connected with my boys as they grow up right before my eyes. I love the Easter holiday as it gives us adults an opportunity to indulge our inner child with our children and enjoy the moments that life is made of.

Delysia chocolate Easter eggs

On Sunday, April 9th, we are hosting our 3rd annual Easter Egg Decorating Competition from noon to five. As you saw in the video, my boys are excited to decorate a couple of solid white chocolate Easter eggs in the hopes of taking home the grand prize of a solid chocolate bunny. I hope everyone will be able to join us and experience the merriment and creativity of gathering around and decorating Easter eggs- much like we used to when we were younger- except this time, they will be solid chocolate eggs instead of the usual hollowed confetti or candy-filled eggs from our childhood. But parents, don’t be jealous, adults can still have a little fun of their own. While the kiddos are decorating, let us at Delysia treat you, too! Enjoy complimentary chocolate tastings that are guaranteed to boost your Easter spirits.

As I look back on the years, I am thankful to the community of Austin for riding with me on this adventure and allowing me to follow my passion while tasting all of my unique creations with open hands and open hearts along the way. 8 years later, Delysia Chocolatier has grown from a hobby of mine to a full-time job. When you are given the chance to do what you love everyday of your life, it is hard to forget how truly blessed I am. I couldn’t have done it without the support of the Austin community, thank you!
