Note’s from the Chocolatier — January

Tito's Handmade Vodka Truffle Collection
We launched Delysia Chocolatier’s Tito’s Truffle Collection earlier this month.

Refresh, renew, re-energize – for a lot of people, that’s what January is all about. We write up resolutions and make plans to implement them, in the hopes that 2015 will be the best year yet. And at Delysia Chocolatier, we’re no different.

I’ve spent the month making big changes for the new year. I’ve pulled together a new team and reorganized Delysia’s business structure, in preparation for a national outreach push in 2015. I’m excited to have repositioned much of our marketing and consumer outreach back in-house, which translates to a more personal brand for Delysia. And I can’t wait to deliver exceptional products and experiences to our customers this year – both old and new.

Speaking of new – this month has also seen the launch of a new partnership for Delysia. We’ve teamed up with Tito’s Handmade Vodka to create a special, limited-edition truffle collection featuring flavors inspired by Tito’s signature cocktails. A chance meeting with a Tito’s representative at 2013’s Austin Food & Wine Festival led us to this collaboration today – which makes me very thankful for “happy accidents”! Delysia has been fortunate enough to partner with many institutional brands in Texas, and I’m glad Tito’s is now one of them. If you want to try the Bloody Mary, Texas Sipper, and Red Punch truffles, check them out in Tito’s online store.

January, always a good time for renewal and re-focus, has been a great month for Delysia – and we have a lot to look forward to in the next few months as well. Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, so I’m excited that Delyisa’s chocolate-y treats will be delighting many of our customers’ loved ones soon. We’re also looking forward to our first chocolate tasting event outside Texas, to be held in the California wine country of Lodi at LangeTwins winery. We’ve barely started, but 2015 already looks like it will be a great year for Delysia.

Here’s to a 2015 full of new changes and delights!

Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel is the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of chocolate truffles as holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolates as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job. In 2008, a chance trip to Becker Vineyards led to Nicole being the first in Texas to make truffles using local wines. Within five years, what started as a hobby turned Delysia into one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the Americas, as selected by the International Chocolate Salon.
