Indulge a little this International Coffee Day

Around the world today people are celebrating International Coffee Day. Every year the International Coffee Organization (ICO) encourages people to enjoy their favorite cup of java and appreciate the passion that goes into the trade.

Coffee Collection Chocolate Truffles

At the Delysia Chocolatier chocolate boutique, we understand their commitment to excellence. We search far and wide for the absolute best coffee beans to use in our confections like the Mocha Chocolate Bark. Chef Nicole also sources coffee locally to support our area farmers and suppliers.

Coffee is unique in that it’s a universal drink. In almost every corner of the globe you’ll find people sipping their favorite variation, farmers painstakingly tending their crops and coffee shops that are open at all hours of the day.

As many coffee shop locations as there are, it’s surprising to learn that the U.S. isn’t even in the top 15 most coffee drinking countries. That’s how popular cacao is across all cultures. However, we do average almost a cup per day per person. It equals about 319 million cups of coffee each day. If you’re one of the millions of people that wake up with a fresh cup of coffee, try a little something different and incredibly indulgent this International Coffee Day.

Make Your Morning Special on International Coffee Day

Cacao and coffee pair together beautifully. It’s such a wonderful combination, we’ve used it in a variety of decadent confections with just about every type of chocolate we make.Coffee White Chocolate Bark

Get a double dose of caffeine on International Coffee Day by enjoying a piece of chocolate with your morning cup of Joe! Chef Nicole knows there’s a real art to pairing chocolate and coffee. You can indulge in one of our coffee-infused Italian roast truffles or pair a strictly cacao piece with your java. Make each sip healthier by adding an extra boost of antioxidants with a morsel from the Wellness Chocolate Truffle Collection.

A few more of our favorite coffee and chocolate pairings include:

  • Dark chocolate and a bold but balanced coffee bean – like you’ll find in the Coffee Dark Chocolate Bark.
  • Rich white chocolate with a light and bright roast.
  • Creamy milk chocolate with a smooth breakfast blend coffee.
  • Chocolate with a hint of mint and a dark French roast.
  • Peanut filled chocolate with a nutty flavored medium roast.

If you want to take part in International Coffee Day you can find events in your area at the official ICO website. You can also stop by the Delysia Chocolatier chocolate shop to pick up a few confections for the special occasion!
