Whether you’re a proud Austinite or simply made a visit to the city of live music, you’ve probably taken a trip down to the Congress Avenue bridge to see the world’s largest urban colony of bats take flight. On warm nights, over one million of these winged nocturnal animals fill the twilight sky over our hometown. In celebration of International Bat Appreciation Day, Delysia Chocolatier is hosting a special chocolate tasting that embodies the well known sights and unique flavors of Austin, Texas.

Indulge in rich chocolate truffles that bring forth the best foods of a city famous for its culinary creativity founded in Southwestern traditions. The fried chicken truffle, inspired by local eatery Lucy’s Fried Chicken, brings forth a quintessential element of southern comfort dining. Milk chocolate is perfectly balanced with fried chicken spices, local honey, and a hint of cayenne. All this seasoned goodness is enrobed in dark chocolate for a smooth and savory finish. Our Brisket caramel chocolate truffle riffs on the salty, piquant flavors of Texan barbecue, which play deliciously off the sweetness of buttery caramel and rich dark chocolate.

How our virtual tasting experiences work:
At Delysia’s Virtual Chocolate Tasting Experience, customers will broaden their culinary palate as they explore aromatic and flavor profiles with our guided and systematic, immersive approach to tasting Delysia’s artisanal handcrafted chocolates. Enjoy 4 unique chocolate truffles while learning about the art of savoring gourmet chocolate, in the comfort of your own home.

Tickets must be purchased by Monday evening to allow us ample time to ship the chocolates to your doorstep. Store in your refrigerator or a cool dry place until the tasting, bringing them to room temperature at least 30 minutes before the virtual experience.

Instructions and the conference link will be emailed to you 24 hours before your tasting. Our virtual chocolate experience will last 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. If you have questions throughout the tasting, type them on the screen and we will answer them real time throughout the experience.

Tickets to our virtual tastings can be purchased as soon as events become available online, in some cases weeks in advance. We will ship the chocolates once they are made, closer to the tasting date. Tickets to multiple virtual tastings can be purchased at the same time, as long as those tastings are no more than 2 weeks apart. If the virtual tastings are more than two weeks apart, please place separate orders as your order will need to ship separately, as the chocolates are made fresh for each tasting.

Once the chocolates arrive, please remove them from the shipping box immediately, as they may have been shipped on ice. Store the chocolates in your refrigerator or a cool dry place until the tasting, bringing them to room temperature at least 30 minutes before the virtual experience.

Instructions and the conference link will be emailed to you 24 hours before your tasting. PLEASE ENSURE that the participant’s email is registered for our newsletter (link in the footer of our website) and the email address nicole@delysia.com is added to your contact list. The link to the virtual tasting is sent via Mailchimp.

Our virtual chocolate experience will last 45 minutes, followed by a 15 minute Q&A session. Our tastings are interactive, with attendee engagement and participation throughout the experience. If you have questions throughout the tasting, please unmute to ask your question, as we love answering them real-time throughout the experience.
