Four Amazing Wedding Shower Ideas Using Chocolate

Wedding Shower Ideas
Delysia’s chocolate menu looks so chic at wedding showers!

Holiday season proposals have finally bloomed into summer wedding showers. If you’re planning to attend a few of these parties in the weeks to come, or if you’re hosting one of your own, we’ve got a few tips to ensure your next wedding-themed party is one guests won’t soon forget.

Here are four unpredictably amazing things to do with chocolate at your next wedding shower:

Chocolate Placeholders

Formal doesn’t mean stuffy. Add fun to a chic dinner table with chocolate placecards. Perfect for parties and receptions, each card is carefully engraved with a message of your choosing, greeting each guest with a personalized gift. Use them to replace paper menus or seating cards.

A Monochromatic Sweets Table

For a sophisticated look, stick to one or two colors at the dessert table. Try using a glass cake stand to display columns of cookies, a white candy bowl filled with small white chocolates, chocolate dipped fruit placed across fine white china, and our amazing chocolate truffles, unboxed and spread across a gold or white platter. Varying heights add appeal for an eye-catching aesthetic.

Enticing Party Favors

Selecting party favors to please every guest, without breaking your budget, can be difficult. Fortunately, chocolate is one of those rare any-crowd pleasers. Simply tie a ribbon around our Coffee White Chocolate Bark and you instantly have a gift that’s affordable and on-theme!

A Wine, Cheese, and Chocolate Bar

Nothing pairs better with fine chocolate than wine and cheese. Arrange 3-5 bottles on a table, each with a note before them listing their suggested cheese and chocolate pairing. Neatly arrange cheese and chocolate platters near these bottles. Encourage guests to pour half glasses so as to leave room on their palate to try each wine with its suggested pairing. I did this for my wedding shower and it was a huge hit amongst our friends!

Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel is the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of chocolate truffles as holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolates as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job. In 2008, a chance trip to Becker Vineyards led to Nicole being the first in Texas to make truffles using local wines. Within five years, what started as a hobby turned Delysia into one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the Americas, as selected by the International Chocolate Salon.
