Notes from the Chocolatier’s Kitchen: A Miracle Milestone

Nicole takes over the headquarters milestone project
Nicole takes over as contractor for the Delysia chocolate culinary center project.

As the summer fades and the days become shorter, we’ve started preparing for the holiday season earlier than ever, including a big milestone on the horizon. When I reflect on what’s happened at Delysia this past year, I am absolutely amazed at how far we have come.

Last October, our general contractor for our chocolate culinary center skipped town, leaving the space in shambles. I thought we were finished. Completing the construction project seemed impossible, yet somehow I persevered. Maybe it was because I owned the property and I couldn’t leave it in such disarray. Could be that quitting just isn’t part of my DNA. The biggest reason I couldn’t give up is because of you – our loyal fans and customers.

The road toward this milestone has been strenuous but sweet
The road toward this milestone has been strenuous but sweet.

When I reflect on what keeps me going, it’s simple – my loyal customers. I’m in business for each of you, in the hopes of making your day better through the enjoyment of our fine quality, artisan creations. I love seeing your expressions of delight as you enjoy our chocolate. I love making your every day moments to your special occasions ones to remember through chocolate.

With my true motivation in mind again, and the fact that I had nothing more to lose, I decided to become the general contractor. It’s been an arduous task, but an extremely valuable one. I now know the facility like the back of my hand, and I know how to fix things myself. For that, I am grateful.

It’s difficult to express just how astonished and thankful I am for where we are now with the construction project. I am proud to announce that our chocolate culinary center is nearly complete, with a grand opening scheduled for later in October! Again, this milestone is only possible thanks to you – we could not be more grateful for your support. You are a prime example of the effectiveness of word-of-mouth marketing. Please continue to share your love for Delysia Chocolatier with your family and friends, and we’ll continue making your experiences one of a kind.
