Notes from the Chocolatier: Happy Holidays!

My favorite time of year is here.  The holiday season is filled with busy days, hard work, and precious moments.  It is so rewarding to make the chocolate confections that fill up stockings, decorate homes, and create lasting memories.  I am excited to share this time with my husband and two boys, along with the new members of our growing Delysia family.

We look forward to celebrating with other Austin families at our annual holiday party this Sunday, December 6th.  Children are invited to make their very own chocolate bars and enjoy a classic holiday film.  And for the adults — there will be plenty of chocolate samples to taste.  Our holiday celebration is free to everyone, but in the spirit of the giving season, we ask that guests bring an unwrapped toy to be donated to Dell Children’s Hospital.

This year has brought me so much to be thankful for and I can’t wait to see where 2016 will take Delysia.  I hope everyone takes some moments out of this busy time to relax with loved ones this season.  I plan to make a nice cup of hot chocolate and cherish these fleeting days.

Thank you all for your continued support of Delysia.  You’re helping my dreams come true.  Signature - Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel is the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of chocolate truffles as holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolates as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job. In 2008, a chance trip to Becker Vineyards led to Nicole being the first in Texas to make truffles using local wines. Within five years, what started as a hobby turned Delysia into one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the Americas, as selected by the International Chocolate Salon.
