This past month at Delysia, we’ve been getting ready for one of May’s biggest holidays: Mother’s Day. As Mother’s Day approaches, I’ve been thinking about how motherhood has changed my own life—in the most fulfilling ways. There are many things in my life that I’m proud of accomplishing: graduating from college as an engineer, earning my Master’s degree, launching my own business (and then seeing it flourish). But I’m most proud of being a mother to my two beautiful boys.
The two happiest days of my life have been when my two boys were born. I remember being pregnant with my oldest son, Sébastien. I was so terrified because I didn’t know anything about being a mom. But as soon as I held Sébastien in my arms, my worries disappeared — he brought a sense of calmness and comfort to me immediately. Now, the best part of my day is coming home to my boys’ smiling faces as they rush to the door to greet me. Isn’t it funny how the simplest things our kids do — a drawing, a note, or helping with the chores — makes us so happy?
If you’re a parent, then this month I want to encourage you to cherish your children. There’s nothing better than the hugs, kisses, and unconditional love that comes from our kids. And children — remember to cherish your moms. They worry so much about always providing you with the best that they can (no matter how old you are). This May, honor your mom. Pamper her, send her sweet notes, and most of all, spend time with her – because I know that’s what us mothers crave the most.
Wishing you a coming month filled with joy, and a very happy Mother’s Day!
Sincerely,
Nicole;
Love your message on motherhood. Two of the best days of my life were when our two boys were born. NOw they are grown men, but they will always be my “boys” to me.

They grow up so fast. It feels like just yesterday that I was holding them as babies in my arms. Have a wonderful Mother’s Day!
