Last Minute Austin Gift Guide

Last minute Austin gift guide

Finding the perfect gift for everyone on your Christmas list isn’t easy – especially when there are only a few days left to shop. If you live in Austin, you’re in luck. The city is full of amazing local shops that offer one-of-a-kind gifts you can’t find anywhere else. Take a look at our 2015 Austin gift guide below!

The Go-To Gift for Anyone: Holiday Treats From Delysia Chocolatier

A box of Delysia Chocolatier’s handcrafted, artisan chocolates is always a safe bet. With dozens of unique flavor combinations and timeless classics, there’s definitely something for everyone. The limited release Santa Truffle Collection and Winter Truffle Collection make perfect Christmas gifts. If you’re looking for decadent stocking stuffers, the Peppermint Bark, Gingerbread Bark, and Eggnog Bark might just end up overshadowing the presents under the tree.

Of course, our homegrown Hill Country Truffle Collection and Texas Truffle Collection are also favorites of Austin locals.

The Gift for Fitness Enthusiasts: SPIBelt

SPIBelt is a local Austin company that was conceived on the hike and bike trail around Lady Bird Lake. The discreet belts are designed to be worn while working out, but they aren’t cumbersome at all. The small pouches sit flat against the body and are just big enough to hold a smart phone and keys. Does the gift recipient already have a SPIBelt? There are also new accessory clips to expand what the belt can hold.

The Gift for Music Lovers: Tickets to the Moody Theater

For Austinites, ACL is year round at the Moody Theater. This is where the famous ACL Live shows are taped, and the venue is second to none. The intimate space allows every concert attendee to get up close and personal with some of today’s most famous performers. The musical performances are across the board, and there’s at least one show every week.

The Gift for Movie Lovers: SXSW Film Wristband

A lot of hype gets built up around the massive interactive portion of SXSW and the iconic music portion, but interwoven throughout the festival are the Film events. Dozens of films across all genres are shown, including world premiers with the cast and crew. If the $625 Film badge is a little pricy, you can get your loved one a SXSW film wristband. You may have to call the SXSW team for more information, but the wristband will get the wearer into any film screening once badge holders have been seated.

The Gift for Parents: White Loft Growth Chart Rulers

Remember when your parents measured your growing height on a doorframe in your childhood home? Now no matter where you move throughout your kid’s life, you can now take the priceless family memento with you. Local crafter Lauren White makes each of her portable growth chart rulers by hand right here in Austin.

Happy Holidays from the team at Delysia Chocolatier!

Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel is the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of chocolate truffles as holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolates as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job. In 2008, a chance trip to Becker Vineyards led to Nicole being the first in Texas to make truffles using local wines. Within five years, what started as a hobby turned Delysia into one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the Americas, as selected by the International Chocolate Salon.
