Choctoberfest

A big thank you to all of the families who attended our Choctoberfest event yesterday at the Delysia Culinary Center. It was so much fun to share this special holiday tradition with each of you and we are thankful for all of the non-perishable food items you all brought to be donated to the Capital Area Food Bank of Texas.

We were so pleased to see all the spooky and creative designs the kids came up with and are excited to share the contest photos with you! Remember, we’re holding a contest for the “best” decorated skull, so make sure you vote for your favorite! The top 3 “artists” with the most votes will receive a private awards ceremony with our owner and chocolatier, Nicole Patel. Plus, we’ll display the winning skulls and the awarding ceremony on Delysia’s social media channels so the kids can enjoy a little recognition for their great job as chocolatiers!

Skull Decorating Contest: How to Vote

Check out the skull decorating contestants below; each skull is numbered. To vote for your favorite skull, just leave a comment at the bottom of this blog post indicating the number of the skull you like the most! Encourage your friends and family to vote, too, so your favorite skull has a better chance of winning. Use the buttons at the top of this blog post to share it on social media or email it to others so they can vote.

We’ll announce the three winners on our social media channels this Friday at 5 pm, so make sure you follow Delysia on Facebook and Twitter so you can see if your favorite skull won. We’ll also contact the winners separately via email to schedule their award ceremony.

May the spookiest skull win!

Nicole Patel

Nicole Patel is the proprietor of and chocolatier for Delysia Chocolatier. In 2006 while pregnant with her first son, Nicole made a batch of chocolate truffles as holiday gifts. To the delight of friends and family, she continued to create chocolates as a way to relieve stress from her corporate engineering job. In 2008, a chance trip to Becker Vineyards led to Nicole being the first in Texas to make truffles using local wines. Within five years, what started as a hobby turned Delysia into one of the Top Ten Chocolatiers in the Americas, as selected by the International Chocolate Salon.
