Celebrate National Hot Tea Month

When you think of warm drinks for winter your first thought is probably hot chocolate, followed by coffee, but don’t forget hot tea. Being from the South I certainly love an ice cold glass of sweet tea, but as sweater weather turns into parka weather I love a good steaming mug of hot tea. Now is the perfect time to enjoy hot tea because January is National Hot Tea Month. While most people think of tea as being a British tradition, it actually traces its history back to China. According to legend hot tea tea was first invented by accident when some tree leaves blew into the drinking water a servant was boiling for the emperor. This delicious accident spread across Asia before making it’s way to Europe and eventually the Americas.

With so many varieties of hot tea you can find one for whatever your mood. I personally love hot tea right before bed as a calming way to wind down my day, but breakfast teas may be more your preference. Even if you don’t love drinking a cup of hot tea you can still enjoy celebrating this month. Delysia Chocolatier’s Tea Truffle Collection is the perfect way to celebrate National Hot Tea Month.

The Tea Truffle Collection is Delysia’s tribute to the most loved tea flavors around the world. The Earl Grey truffle features a dark chocolate cream created by steeping the tea to create the distinct intense Bergamot orange flavor. White chocolate tea-infused ganache is wrapped inside a dark chocolate shell with hints of chai masala spices to create the spicy sweet Chai truffle. Matcha Powder and dairy-free ganache are blended to created the slightly green tinted Green Tea truffle. The Green Tea truffle can also be found in the Wellness Truffle Collection.

Of course all three of these truffles make the perfect accompaniment to your favorite mug of hot tea. Serve them with your afternoon cup of tea or enjoy snuggled on the couch late at night with a good movie. The Tea Truffle Collection is the perfect way to celebrate National Hot Tea Month, no boiling water required.
