We know what you’re thinking. Delysia’s irresistible chocolates can inspire many things – love, passion, euphoria, but fashion?
The relationship between mouthwatering chocolate and fashion goes all the way back to the birth of couture. After all, it was in the 1900s that a certain Gabrielle Chanel changed her name to Coco(a) and the rest is history. Coincidence? We think not.
During New York’s turn at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, it seems NY took a cue from DC, Delysia Chocolatier that is. (Humor us, why don’t you?)
Particularly, the designs from our truffle collections were found coated all over the chicest runways. Burnt orange at Ralph Lauren, pale pinks at Zac Posen, graphic stripes at Proenza, and it doesn’t stop there.
Here are four ways Delysia Chocolatier inspired the styles of New York Spring 2015 Fashion Week. Next time you’re looking to add a bit of fashion to your fête, reach for our truffles and show everyone how you are once again ahead of the trend.
Orange You Sweet
Burnt orange was huge this year. Almost every designer found some way to incorporate the hue. If you’re thinking that currently this is the season for pumpkins, and possibly that led to the obvious pigment pattern, recall that these assortments are for next year’s spring collections! Where did the inspiration come from, hmm? We know the answer.
Innocent like our Childhood Collection, pinks painted the shows as all of New York seemed to collectively blush with nostalgia. We love this trend almost as much as we love our peanut butter and jelly truffles.
Stripes and graphics were also in heavy rotation as tartan and gingham were displayed in varying varieties. As you probably already know, we love a good plaid print. Who doesn’t?
Dots seem to never age out of fashion. They’re always on trend in some form. This season, designers favored texture and playfulness similar to the spots found on our Citrus Collection. Go figure.
